Description - Vito Corleone is the aging don (head) of the Corleone Mafia Family. His youngest son Michael has returned from WWII just in time to see the wedding of Connie Corleone (Michael"s sister) to Carlo Rizzi. All of Michael"s family is involved with the Mafia, but Michael just wants to live a normal life. Drug dealer Virgil Sollozzo is looking for Mafia families to offer him protection in exchange for a profit of the drug money. He approaches Don Corleone about it, but, much against the advice of the Don"s lawyer Tom Hagen, the Don is morally against the use of drugs, and turns down the offer. This does not please Sollozzo, who has the Don shot down by some of his hit men. Full movie the godfather 1. If you"re wondering why I put exclamation points after the headline, it"s because I thought this movie was just another overrated pile of junk. Man was I wrong! This movie was quite good. Sure it isn"t the greatest movie I"ve ever seen, but it"s definitely in my Top 250! This should definitely replace boring THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION as #1 in the Top 250. It"s about the Corleone family"s criminal empire run by Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) and trying to pass it on to his son Michael (Al Pacino) You shouldn"t watch this movie if you are under age 16 though. It"s quite violent and no one under that age would understand it anyway. Definitely watch this movie. It is very well done.
8.5/10 or: B.

The kick to the head is what did sunny in. Nothing ruins the mood than a wailing baby. Except the delivery room... TOOOOOO DARK. Youtube show full movie the godfather. God, the organ music, priests talking and baby crying really build up the scene! This is intense.

Who does he kill at 24:00. This scene always makes me crave Chinese food. I honestly believe that Al had a better performance in the first Godfather than in the second one the way he transforms from war hero to mob boss is amazing.

This movie is a masterpiece. Marlon Brando is good in this and he won an Oscar for his performance. Al Pacino got nominated for an Oscar, James Caan got nominated for an Oscar and Robert Duvall got nominated for an Oscar. I liked the sets, the acting, the script, and the cinematography. This movie is better than Apocalypse Now. I think Francis Ford Coppola should have won an Oscar for Best Director. Least he won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay with Mario Puzo. I own the book The Godfather by Mario Puzo and I read some of it and it is good. This movie is one of the best movies ever made well maybe the exception of Pulp Fiction.

But I didn"t know until this day, that it was Barzini all along. I watched the movie e times but believe me after watching it this is the first time ever i watched the trailer. 3.6K dislike people will find a bloody head horse on their bed... The peace agreement with was immediately broken by the failed attempt on Michael"s life in Sicily that took the life of his wife Apollonia. 6:24 - There is where you can see Don Corleone was at a different level and it was a flash of his old greatness. All that time Sonny and Tom where stumbling around fighting Titalia, and it took one meeting for the Don to discern it was Barzini all along. Sonny and Tom thought Titalia was the target, when the Don just viewed him as "a pimp. Michael inherited some of his fathers intuition, but Don Corleons intuition was at another level. Michael would have eventually figured out it was Barzini, but probably not as quickly as the Don picked up on could sense Tom was in awe. You mean Titalia?  Great scene...
